Winter Kayak Series - Frankton

7 June 2020 (Allowable under Alert Level 2)

Location: Frankton Beach (Beach Access Road, off Lake Ave) 

Registration: Online - must be completed by 8am on Sunday 7th June (earlier is better for handicapping)

Check in: 9-9:30am

Race Briefing: 9:45am 

Start first wave: 10am.

Entry Fee: $5 for SLMC Members $10 for non members

 The race is handicapped with the slowest competitors leaving in the first wave, and is open to all classes of kayak and to all kayaking abilities.  The course takes in a lap of Frankton Arm - around 10km. All paddlers must carry the required Compulsory Gear.  

 

On Arrival: check-in at the table, hand sanitize and maintain social distancing of 1m.

Spectators are required to have 2m social distance but are not required to be recorded for contact tracing.

Use only your gear. Do not touch other entrants equipment.

For briefing and prize giving maintain 2m distance to those outside your bubble.

Covid Declaration: As part of our Covid Health and Safety Plan for contact tracing your entry must include, name, address, phone and email.

This information is being collected to assist in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be given to the Ministry of Health and/or the District Health Board on request if it is required for contact tracing purposes. We will not use it for any other purpose and will destroy it after two months. It will be kept here on the website database. You have a right to access and correct any information we hold about you.

ENTRY WAIVER: In acceptance of my entry I do hereby for myself, my heirs, executors,administrator  and assignee's release and forever discharge the organisers the sponsors and all persons involved in the conduct of this event from all claims or actions whatsoever in any manner arising out of my participation in this event. I attest and verify that I am fully aware of risks involved in participation and that I have no physical or medical condition which may have potential to put myself or any other person at risk and that I am sufficiently trained for this event. I agree to abide by the organisers rules and expect any decision or direction given by them. I allow sponsors/organiser's to use my name/ photo for promotional purposes. I have read the race rules. Course description and will attend the race briefing and agree to abide by the contents!
